L98 Vacuum lines.
I am in the process of cleaning and detailing the engine. During parts removal and installation I snapped a couple of the small plastic vacuum lines. On this 18-year-old car these things are extremely brittle and snap when moved around. I can probably find some replacement line locally but what about these? These rubber thingies are hollow. The lines go in one end and out the other. I cannot figure out what their purpose is. Maybe they are installed to protect the lines from abrasion when they pass near an engine bay part. Any ideas as to what they are there for?

I believed it a connection to the line. Chevy stop making it so you can't buy it from the dealer and part stores don't have the shape/bend that match the original part. You can buy the rubber line that has the same ID as the OD of the line and connect it together.
