clutch???

Default clutch???

i noticed today that i was having a hard time putting it into reverse and sometimes first gear. the clutch pedal after i drive it and the fuild is hot the pedal has about 5-6 inches of play from the top maybe a little more. the clucth was replaced before i bought the car and does not slip. what does this sound like??

hydraulics.

It sounds to me like the clutch is low on fluid.

Mine had the same prob. Turned out to be a crack on the case(red arrow) where the shifter is. Under the goldish lookin' plate(yellow arrow).
I had it TIG welded and it's OK now.

Check your fluid first, hopefully that is all it is.

I say you should bleed your clutch hydralics. Could have a bad master or slave cylinder. Don't drive the car with faulty hydralics as you will put A LOT of wear and tear on the transmission.

Wow, first time I've seen that. Is the shifter stock? I wonder what caused the strain in that area to make it crack like that.
