start key question
When I recieved my '86 4+3 as usual it came with 2 door keys and 2 ignition keys. Each of the ignition keys have the little chip on them (VAT).
I also got one other key the same as a start key although this key does not have a chip on it of the GM balck plastic.
Whats this key for? It doesnt start the car.
was wondering if it was like some kind of reset thing.

Did someone re-key the center console lock ?
I have an '88 Vert so I have no other storage compartments...
Don't know if your '86 has any others or not that might have been re-keyed to match the ignition.
Does the non VAT key work in the ignition and start the car?
A previous owner might have done the VATS by-pass and just gave your the VATS keys along with the non-VAT key that will now start your car...
