What is the best way to tighten the removable roof on my 93 vette?
front bolts first or back bolts first. Ive already had one roof brake.

I try to tighten a little on each one. Left front, right front, right rear, left rear. Repeat until tight. Works for me. Good luck.

I tighten the rears completely; then the fronts completely.
I've heard the doing the opposite sequence can stress the windshield.

Makes sense to me.......... the rears are pulling front to back and the fronts are pulling down.

I start the rears, start the fronts then tighten the rears then tighten the fronts.

Same here.....this is essentially the same as 65Z01's procedure.

This is how it is stated in the manual:
1. Tighten the rear bolts part way.
2. Use the ratchet to start the front bolts. If the bolts are hard to start, tighten the rear bolts some more. Holding down the panel on the outside will also help.
3. Fully tighten the rear bolts, then the front bolts.
Hope this helps

Good idea. I'll do it that way from now on. The fronts have captured bolts, so it shouldn't be a problem getting them to line up.

Same here, as per manual instructions.
