Consider me stupid but...
I'd like to know if it is possible to change my 3.07 rear gear into a 2.59. What else would I need in order to do this? I also know I'd have to get a 2.59 speedo gear so my speedo won't be off. I know a 2.59 rear would be easier on my D36 and yield better gas mileage. I know I ran a 13.00 @ 105 mph with my 3.07 rear gear /w a semi bad launch (2.0 60' and spinning). Changing to a 2.59 won't really hurt me that bad, would it? Plus, ever since that better cam, heads, and 2600 rpm lock-up stall torque converter change, I'm now just begging for traction! I know there are some people here running the same time as me, a 13 flat, BUT with a 2.59 gear. Anyways, I think this also should have been in the classified section, but also, I'd like to know if I can trade my 3.07 gear for a 2.59 /w the speedo calibration unit and 2.59 rear speedo gear. I'm looking for more top end if you ask me since my L98 likes to live down low and at 5000 rpms, I'm actually loosing torque and power. Thanks!
