I know you can hold the fan up and down buttons for 5 seconds, and get the trouble codes for the ECC system, but if I remember right, you can reset the ECC system also. I used to have a copy I printed off of the instructions, but cannot seem to locate it. Can anyone out there pass the reset instructions to me? I would greatly appreciate it. I have no trouble codes coming up on the ECC display, but this happened once before about 2 years ago. I reset the system per instructions here from the forum, and the A/C worked flawlessly. It was giving no codes then either. Thanks all...
I seem to recall something about it getting set to 70 right off the bat untill you drive around faster than 25mph for so many minutes. I guess so it can sample the air.
There is really no calibration other than that, the thermistors are calibrated and the computer "knows" what those calibrations should be and what it's looking for.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm PWD (posting while drunk)
As far as I know, you remove power - fuse(s) or battery cable. If the a/c has shut down, though, should be a code. If not, you might want to verify that the pressure signal by scanning it. Should be above .8 volts, the scan should indicate an a/c request (yes) when you you turn it on, and the a/c clutch should engage.
