Anyone using these tires? I went to buy the GS-D3's this weekend and no one has them in 275/40R17. Tirerack doesn't have them and Discounttiredirect doesn't either. I want to get back to a matching set front to rear. What is everyone's experience with the Supercar tires???
I can't believe they are out of them again. You'd think goodyear would make enough to meet demand, especially after it took them 4 months to make another batch last time they went out of stock. I didn't know the f1 supercars were in this size, I hear they are great, but only from a couple z06 guys...
I haven't riden or driven on a D3s but when I rode in a ZO6 in an auto-x the grip was amazing for a street tire. I just don't know how much of that was suspension though. But all I've heard is great things.
I too was wondering about these tires. I currently have BFG's When I read reviews on F1 supercars they are some bad reviews on wet performance. Even though car has seldom been caught in rain don't want a major problem. Always good to hear other experience before spending the bucks. D3's may be abetter all around choice just hate to give up track potential. Ike
Well, I just checked Tirerack again and they list an anticipated date of 4/22 now for the D3's. And they raised the cost of the Supercar's by about $40 a tire from yesterday. Looks like I may be ordering the D3's later this week.

Yup I like mine thay stick great. I may add if thay do let loose seem to be very forgiving no surpises. Noisy on cement road surfaces though.
and all I can say is " WOW " !!! I had Dunlop Sport 9000's on the car and thought they were great. But they were down to the indicators on the rear and nearly there on the front, so it was time for new tires. I did a LOT of research and for the money, these tires seemed to stand head and shoulders against others in the same or higher price range. IT'S LIKE A WHOLE NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!! I now have about 1000 miles and all I can say is so far they are great. Quietest tire I've ever had on my Vette period!!!!!!!!!! They have fantastic grip, I take a freeway on ramp that is posted 35 all the time. I could take it about 50 on my old tires, I just ran it this morning at 75 and felt like I could push more. WHat a feeling!! I got a great deal at a local tire shop. Out the door 1100.00. That's the complete total. Oh I added 100 more for the road hazard, so that makes it 1200.00. I don't know about anyone else, but that is just about what it would have cost me from tire rack when you count the shipping and the local installation charges and I get to deal with a local merchant who has been in business 36 years. Almost too good to be true. Enough of this gushing, If you get a chance and can affort these tires, I say go for it!!!!!!
