Rebuilt LT1 water pump test?
I first tried to get some response to this in "General Discussion" forum,
but no results.
What I am wanting is a few forum members to send a "leaking" LT1 water pump so I can rebuild a way that I believe to be much better than OEM costruction. The pump body needs to be in good condition.
It can have a leaking seal and a worn out bearing, but no damage to the area under the impeller or where the seal and bearing are pressed in. The impeller and bearing shaft need to be in good condition.
This is not a "scam" to get pumps,I don't have any need of them, other than for a test bed. I will rebuild these at "MY" expense. The only item I need is 2 or 3 pumps. I would like for these pumps to be tested
"extremely hard", such as racing or long cruises. I know that there are rebuilt pumps and electric pumps for purchase, but this is the only way I have to get a "real" test to see how my idea works.
