The ones in MAD look different for the LT1 than they do for the L98 in the same catalog. I want one for my LT4. I have seen adjustable fuel pressure regulators at carquest that cost about a fifth of what the ones in MAD cost. But they look a little different they look more simalar to the ones for the L98 in the MAD catalog. will these work anyway? how many people have adjustable fuel pressure regulators on their LT1/4 mototrs? where did yu get them? will the one at carquest work? where do they get installed under the hood? sorry for so many questions. thanks in advance
Don't know much of anything about LT1's (or 4's), but if it fits an L98, it ain't-a-gonna fit an LT engine. The one at carquest is probably for the TPI (L98/LB9)
for you with late model C4s LT1(4), what after market fuel pressure setting are you running? how much power has it given you? do you have to have tuning software so the computer doesnt even it back out?
I have an Aeromotive FPR and I use it for the Nitrous.
I installed an Accel and the diaphram in those are bad and it filled the motor up with fuel.
You will pay about $119.00 for a good one.
The LT1 is set about 43.5 psi at the factory.
I heard a while back that 39 psi is ideal for the LT1/4.
Just changing the fuel presure only changes the pulse width.
No you don't need to reset your computer to use a adj FPR.
I set mine to 45 for the nitrous and 39 when not at the track.
I have found running 39 lbs incressed the fuel milage on the car electronic dash by about 2 miles to the gallon.
I never realy checked it other than that.
If youi are looking to play with the engine ,just get a hypertech hand programmer.
GM parts dirrect has them on sale right now.
I think with the $100.00 discount when you buy now it's about $299.00 or so.
