Default PCMFORLESS Experience

I owned a 1995 Impala SS until recently.I spent a lot of money with Ed Wright over several years. It took I while to get things close but he allways tryed until the problem was solved.
Bryan Herter came on the scene due to his Impala SS ownership and afflilation with that group. He did many great things for members of that group for next to nothing $$ wise.
I continued to have minor problems with the EW tune.I decided to buy BHs.
(I have owned Diacom plus for abou 13 years so I could moniter the
big differences between them.)
Eventually I dynoed them @ the same time.I noted bryans was making a little more power.
I told Ed I had an another tune that didnt have the problem that his did.He didnt like that at all.The last time he tried to fix it(unsucessfly)
he enclosed a nasty little disrepectful note. So,I ended up hiring Bryan to fix the problem with the EW tune, which he did for a small amount of money.)
I continued to run both PCMs till I sold my SS.
I won 3rd place (2) seperate times @ the SS Heavyweight Shootout once with Eds ,Once with Brians.
There is a lot the LT-1 guys can learn from the Impala SS forum about
increasing power & DYI PCM tuning(hosted by Brian).

What was the "problem" you vaguely refer to with Ed's tune?

My experience with this group has been nothing less than excellent.

Wow, that is cool! I'm going to call dem guys right away! Maybe your testimonial would be more appropriately submitted to the PCMSFORLESS web site, instead of a "help" board for diy scan & tune members.

I dont appreciate your comment.
I shared my 7 years of experience with BH & EW on this board because of attacks on PCMforless.,not as an inducement to buy their product. What I stated is true and I believe most folks understand that.
If you can find anyone thats a more compentent , humble, honest person to tune your car than Brian Herter then use him,but you
have no right to Slander or Libel this man.

Scorp,

I had cold start & idle problems,a really annoying tendency of moderate
surge in gear, like it was trying to pull on a too tight convertor.

Please if your going to write compliments about a company, make sure it's only on their web site, so no one else will no, but the people that visit that web site.

Great Job PCMSFORLESS sorry Kvu for that unsolicited support.

Glad to hear that they fixed it. Sometimes people don't pay attention to the more annoying small details like that.

I was always taught that if you've not got anything good to say, don't say anything at all. Seems to me you have a problem with some topic areas on this forum, namely anything to do with pcm tuners. I personally think your credibility is going down hill fast. There are many vette owners who have not got or ever will have experience, ability or inclination to burn 'chips' themselves and any information they can glean from forums such as this, help make a more educated decision on things. We all suffer bad experiences from time to time, thats life whether its a chip tune or a muffler that dosen't live up to your expectation on the noise front. But unless 'we' inform each other about these experiences, 'we' don't get to find things out. I am aware that there is as much misinformation on the www. as there is good information. However, if people feel that all they are going to receive are sarcastic replies and comments when posting on one of the best forums on the www. in my opinion. they might as well not bother posting at all. My opinion is that this is a 'forum', not just a 'help board'. By the way, I don't sell, or burn chips (at least not yet) and am not affiliated with anyone that does. I am not trying to make an enemy either, I just want you to think about the effect you might have on members when replying as you have. I have as good a sense of humour as anyone and have a good chuckle at many replies on here, but lately there seems to be a great deal of animosity around. Sorry if I offend or if people disagree.

I didn't see anything wrong with his comment.

Also, what you have posted here is just fine. This forum is for sharing experiences and that is what you have done.
