Default Solid 383 combos??

I am looking to build a 383 for a L98 89 vette in the 400-450 hp range and then duplicate it for a an LT1 in a 93-95 vette for a road race/ street car combo as a second car toy. Any detailed proven combos would be appreciated!!!!

TIA

The usual LPE 383 combo will do that power or better.

Dports-fully ported, 219 cam, Superram puts out exactly 450hp per lingenfelter's book (engine dyno).

My car (92 385) is a street driven road racer, and has docile manners and can put it to the ground as well.

When planning an engine, I think the first question always has to be.... smog legal or not?

Once that's done the path becomes a lot more clear, especially with an L98

There is an article in Corvette Enthusiast(June 05 issue) that has an LT1 stroker build up. Ended up with 473hp and 454 lb/ft.

Mike Norris did the work. Look on the left sidebar of the forum for the link to Norris Motorsports(he also goes by Next Level).
