Default Shift light

Hi

Are there any body that has been able to make the shift light come on at a specific RPM without any delay in $8D ANHT?
In that case how?

Thanks
Gunnar

First let me say that I'm not 100% positive about this but here goes anyway....
The shift light is not solely controlled by ECM paramatersthat can be set to make it useful as a shift light..
It is controlled by the ECM processing of several parameters including the VSS,TACH signal and TPS signal AND the 4th gear pressure switch in the transmission..

I do not believe it can be reprogrammed to be used as a 'real time' shift light.

From the FSM:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
The automatic transmission upshift light will be enabled while cruising down the highway and ALL of the following conditions are met for 30 seconds.
- Cooling temperature above 50* C (122F)
- Vehicle Speed greater than 47 mph
- TPS greater than 0%
- Engine epeed above 1400 RPM

The upshift light will be turned "ON" if the engine speed exceeds 5200 rpm in ANY gear other than 4th gear. The ECM computes what gear the vehicle is in by monitoring engine rpm and vehicle speed. When the ECM determines a higher gear can be selected, it will provide a ground which controls the "upshift" light.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope this helps in understanding the 'upshift' light.

Thanks for the reply. I think i'm on my way to solve the problem.
I first asked the questin becaus i did not want to reinvent the wheel.
yes i'm lazy
So far i been abel to lessen the delay and make it start from 2 MPH
so that it vill work in 1 & 2 gear.
The problem was that the ANTH hack had som errors. se below:
Orginal ANTH whit ERROR:

It's not lazy to try and 'use what you got'. That's just smarter than 'most' folks.
