Default engine side source vacuum for HVAC (96 LT1)

Can anyone tell me where the Source for a 1996 LT1 automatic's HVAC might be.

im trying to isolate that down due to numerous other hoses i have found im suspecting my vent problem may simply be its not connected at the engine side.

However i havent been able to trace that black source hose from the HVAC unit around behind the radio to the firewall .. and cant find anything exiting the engine side firewall.

any ideas?
Ill be trying to dig in and test the vac at the HVAC above the gas pedal shortly unless i can narrow it down faster.

Passenger side of the intake manifold. Then the vacuum line go into the electrical harness and through a block in the fire wall.
