Default acceleration question

When Im WOT in any gear I can feel the car pulling strong but then It kind of eases up for a second then pulls hard again. It doesnt just do it once, from 0-80 it might do it 4 or 5 times. It doesnt matter if its in the top or bottom of a gear either. Its an 86 auto, 26 lb injectors, adjustable FPR. What do you guys think is causing it? I dont have any scanning equipment yet.

Any codes? Is it tuned for those injectors and whatever fuel pressure you're running? My first guess is a mismatch between the hardware and the software.

RACE IN!!!

Its not tuned for those injectors YET, I ordered a custom chip for it yesterday. Do you think that could be the problem?

It doesnt seem to do it at shift points, mostly in the middle to high range of any gear.

I was thinking maybe knock sensor also but I dont have any way to check that right now. Im running 45 psi fuel pressure.

sounds like the injectors are too much. If you turn the fuel pressure a bit lower that may help some. I think your car came with 22 lb injectors or maybe even 19 lb. 26 is a bi9g change for the computer to adjust.

Will the custom chip be able to compensate for it? I told him what size injectors im running. I was originaly looking at a dry nitrous system when I changed my injectors, but decided to go with the wet after reading the forum. Or is a ported intake, plennum, and runners in order?
