first problem, we did an engine rebuild on my dads 85 and now it is running realy rich, we put a little bigger cam in but nothing outragus any ideas on this one?
Also we put in roller rocker and at about 3500 rmp it falls on its face I read in an other thread it my be the knock sensor can you run the car without this sensor?
or any other ideas on this I am 99% sure the rockers are adjusted correctly
Are you getting any codes? Is everything hooked up? The first thing that comes fo mind is the engine coolant sensor. If it is defective or not connected, the ECM thinks the engine is dead cold and will command a rich, choke type, mixture. That could be the problem at 3500 rpms, too, especially if the plugs are starting to foul.
With a stock tune TPI cars with an aftermarket cam run rich. For your other problem I bet your valve lash is to tight. If you are running oem lifters set them with the engine running at 1/2 turn past 0 lash when the engine is at normal operating temperature.
