head options/Crate Motor
I am faced with replacing the head Gaskets on my 91...I want new aftermarket heads that are an easy swap with the TPI setup. My other question is what is the easiest long block (i.e. the ZZ4) To use with a 91, I did a search most of the post are a debate. I just want to know what fits.

zz4 is about the simplest sure bet. I was quite happy with my swap in the early ninetys. Bang for the buck is not there though. In my opinion you can build a better, cheaper motor you will enjoy more. From a crate motor point of view, the zz-4 is tough to beat.

Great building block. Good compression, roller cam, Aluminum heads

I have a super rammed ZZ4 with the LT4 Hotcam, and 1.6 roller rockers in mine, I love it. If i was to do it all over I would go for the ZZ383 which wasn't available yet when I did mine, or get the HT383 truck short block, slap on some AFR heads and a really nasty cam.
