Alky injection tip and a question....
My setup is using my old Vortech T-Rex pump. Running a 50/50 methanol/water mix, it toasted the first pump.
Before the winter I replaced the pump and added a small jug of the Prestone water pump lubricant (basically its the stuff you can add to your radiator instead of replacing the antifreeze if you're afraid its lost its anti-corrosion properties). My thought was that methanol is very corrosive, and that the "anti-corrosion" stuff might help.
Well, spring came and the pump is just fine with with methanol/water/anticorrosion mix in there for 6 months. So either I got lucky and the newer T-Rex pumps can handle alcohol or the anti-corrosion stuff works, so just passing along my experience as a tip.
