I am getting my parts together for this conversion on my 1987 coupe. I have gone to the recommended web site (Superior Chevrolet), and printed out their parts list. I became aware that new brake hoses were not on their list and as their list was suppose to be complete, I began to wonder.
Everything I had seen in print always included new brake hoses so I assumed they were a necessity for some reason. Maybe the caliper end was different for the C5 callipers or something.
I wanted to install stainless steel braded hoses anyway, but assumed there was something special or different about the hoses needed for this conversion, but now I'm wondering,,, can I just order a set for the 1987 s/s hoses or is there something different on the caliper end?
I beleive new hoses are recommended but not required... If I'm wrong someone tell me... I bought braided hoses for mine but have not installed them yet... They appear to be the same...
Thanks guys! Now I know! I can just order a set of 4 for my 87, instead of ordering the 2 rear for an 87 and trying to find some strange setup for the front. Makes life easier.
