A/C Question On 1991 Vert
Hey all...I have a question for anyone that may help me. The A/C on my '91 is fully charged, but the compressor will not engage. I have reset the system, pulled and checked the courtesy and A/C fuse, disconnected the battery and reconnected. I was checking it Thursday (after it failed to come on), and it mysteriously engaged. (I have no idea why). It started up, cooled perfectly. This was after I removed the fuses and reinserted, and just basically looked at the system. I thought Alright! I think it is fixed! Well...it will not engage again. I have removed the fuses again, reset the system, etc., to no avail. The head unit (electronic Climate Control) shows no fault codes at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to possibly start diagnosing the problem? I don't understand why it started up one time, and refuses to engage again now. I am open for all suggestions..Thanks Everyone!

Try removing the pressure switch plug and shorting it with a piece of wire - does it then engage?
If so then the pressure switch is faulty.
If it still doesn't work well at least you have eliminated one point of failure.
