Mass Air Questions
Got a few quick questions on the mass airflow setups in these cars. Sorry for the noobie questions but I am still learning about these lt1's.
Is it critical to upgrade to mass air if your doing mods such as heads , cam, ect ect? Or is it easier , cheaper , to do the mods then have a custom program burned?
I am comming from the 5.0 world where speed denisty cars will have a $*#&@ fit if you mess with em too much. So most everybody swapped em over to mass air before they got too deep in them.
My car is a 92, so it has no mass air flow sensor.

SD does not adjust well to mods, however I would never swap it for a MAF system if the car came with it.
SD will merely require a chip change when you swap cams, just like MAF.

You shouldnt have any difficulties with anything from the engine backwards, and the airbox mod is something it'll adjust to.
