I am in need of some good half shafts. Friday night I twisted both of mine until they snapped so I also need some help as to exactly how long they are for an 89 with dana 44. Does anyone have any better choices for shafts(built 383 with 478 rear end) factory was not the answer.

That is WAY too much gear...hence the reason your breaking your 1/2 shafts.

I've never broke a 1/2 shaft in two but I do brake my share of u-joints and that tears up the shafts. I think my problem is my car squats pass level and put the u-joint at a bad angle and they snap.
You are correct I did break both of my carbon fiber halfshafts the very first time out with them. They did refund my money since i only had them for a week. I have since then gone back to the stock half shafts but now i just baby it off the line then hammer it! There also alot cheaper to replace then everything else back there.
