vette veterans, can i put a lower gear ratio in my Dana 36? im talking about 3.46 or 3.54. i'm pretty sure 3.73's wont work. i need to get rid of the lack-luster 3.07's in my 89' L-98. thanks guys

Yes, I'm not sure just how low a gear they make for them but you can go substantially lower. Do you have or have you considered a higher stall converter before you make this change?
yes, i have considered a higher stall converter. i want to go with a 1800-2200 stall, as well as a shift improvement kit and a tranny cooler. any ideas where i can find good parts as described above and for decent prices?
You can go as low as 3.73, but I would recommend the 3.54. Add to that the higher stall converter and you won't believe the difference. Unless you plan on racing a lot, you don't need to spend the $800 for a Vigilante. The tranny shop built my 2500 stall for $350.
I have 3.33 in mine and a 2000 stall.
I get about 1/2 second quicker in the 1/4.
I never use 4 th gear unless I want to lose a 10 th in the 1/4.
Trans does have a trans go kit in it.
