Tunerpro and Craig's ECM software won't work with the 1985 ECM's (870's), they are 8192baud and the 870 ecm is 160 baud, Winaldl is about all there is that won't cost a fortune (diacom $800 plz)
I did a search for posts with your user name...didn't find anything about the problem you are referring to.
This isn't entirely correct. TunerPro absolutely supports 160 baud data logging and monitoring. The hitch is that you have to find or create the correct ADS file to do so. Find the .DS file for the 870 and it's pretty simple to create a .ADS file from it.
Oh dopey me...was looking for a thread....
Ok, while hooked to winaldl look at the gms/sec while at idle in closed loop. You should be seeing 7-12 gms/sec.
Next, look at the coolant temp and compare that to your dash gauge. They should be fairly close to each other (within 10-15 deg) If it is grossly different, replace the sensor located on the front of the intake manifold (the smaller of the 2 things on the front)
Start there and see where that gets you.
Thanks again Morley for the input. I haven't had time to check out the info above (under going radiation treatments for prostate cancer) but I'm hopeing to check it out this weekend. The acceleration problems seems to be getting worse. I need to do something before she dies on me!
