Help - Tranny Problems
I took the car out of storage last night ('87 L98 700R4) and things seemed OK until I drove it. The transmission doesn't want to downshift when I stomp on it. If it's in 3rd and I jump on it it, the rev's climb but it stays in 3rd. If I manually shifted into second, it was the same thing, just at a higher RPM.
I adjusted the TV cable but instead of one click when I applied full throttle there were 2? (and a lot of resistance between the first click and the second). I kept pushing after the first click because the tb was not even close to WOT position.
Are the clutches gone or is it something else?
