Default Crankshaft Hub Question

Im putting in a hotcam and Im not sure about how to mark the crankshaft in relation to the front timing cover. Before removing the bolt and washer going inside the crankshaft I marker the hub/crankshaft. Then I removed the bolt but the engine cranked over moving the hub. So do I mark it again or use the original mark? Hope this makes sense thanks.

The hub is marked w/ a straight up reference. The damper is too. Mark your hub to the crank and you'll be fine.

I didn't get a signature or even his name on his original post and I'm getting a little frustrated having to look up the year by clicking on his name, then his public profile. Why is it so hard to list the year of the car in the posts?

Seems I'm joining the bandwagon with those who wish posters would simply list the year of their car in their post. Oh, well; guess I'm just gettin" cranky in my old age. LOL

You sure can't tell it that by the post. You'd think if someone is going to ask for help, he'd have the common courtesy to tell us what he's working on.

RACE ON!!!
