Those of you who are using the KwikLift please be advised that the floor jack cup size and grooves are extremely important. The instructions are clear on this but I made the mistake of using a floor jack with small ridges on the cup. You don't want what happened to me to happen to you. While I was lowering the lift to back the car down, the curved bar attached to the lift slipped off the jack and the lift came crashing down. Luckily, I was not injured at all and the jack positioned itself on the exhaust flange and did not hurt the car. I'm going out today to find a more appropriate jack.
My jack is a 3 ton and the cup is quite large, but I still ground off some of the edges to make a perfect fit against the pipe. I'm glad nothing got hurt.
I'll say this only because you and your Vette are OK: That had to have a "pucker factor" of about a million on a scale of 1 to 10 when it let go. Regards
I can't post a pic of the one I had because I returned it. The saddle was square with very shallow grooves (approx. 1/16"). The new jack I buy will have to have a saddle with deeper grooves and I'll grind those grooves even deeper to hopefully 1/2" or more. Let me tell you, it was truly a scarey experience. When the lift slipped off the jack, it pushed the jack towards the front of the car in the upright position. I thought for sure that it went through the floor but luckily it ended up right under the exhaust flange at the cat. Since the lift was still in the inclined position, the jack just rested under the exhaust so nothing happened to the car. Thanks for the good wishes and yes I'm glad I didn't get hurt or hurt my baby.

Glad that all is OK.
I have had my kwiklift for years, and luckily have not had that problem.
I did grind my jack saddle like the instructions said, and it seems to work ok.
This is the first time I have ever heard of it, so it appears that it is a rare issue.
