Default More engine removal stuff!

Man I getting tired of this. I need to get the bolts from the engine to the tranny out. I have already done the ones from the flexplate to torque converter. Any hints would be great!! I don't see how you can get in there to get the bolts out.

Hmm, here's some phrases that might help...

"These rotten no good forsaken **** tranny bolts..."

"SOB this is Forkin' tight in here..."

"How the #$%@*& am I supposed to get at these #$%@& bolts..."

Be creative come up with some of your own.

For real though, I've always used real long extensions eithier with socket head universals, or just universal joints with various length sockets.

Very long wobble extensions. By wobble extensions, I mean the kind that let the socket tilt up to about 10 degrees on the end of the extension.

Makes the job much easier. I saw a transmission shop use an extension about 2 feet long...

The extensions are the way to go. When I pulled mine I removed the C-Beam and driveshaft and left the trans supported by the jack. I tilted the engine and trans down (check carefully for clearance by the firewall) and removed the top two bolts first.

Gotta tilt the engine/trans as far as clearance will allow. Then using a 3-4 foot extension and universal socket (6 point) and a 1/2" drive ratchet, proceed to bust some knuckles and let your neighbors know every 4 letter word in your vocabulary.
