She Threw a Code 32 at Me
Last night I went for a spin in my '92 auto, when the Service Engine light came on, so I decided to head back home and hook up the scan tool. The scan told me a code 32, which is an EGR failure, I'm just wondering what steps to take in testing the system to find the faulty part, I'd hate to replace good parts. I have the '92 service manual, just havn't started digging through it yet, any advice you guys could give me would be appreciated, thanks.

Following the trouble shooting charts in the manual is the best way of tracking down the real problem, the first time. My car doesn't have a code 32, so I can't give you any specific help.

There is an EGR test method on my site that uses simple test equipment. Just ignore the part about testint the EGR Temp. Switch as your '92 does not have one.
Since the EGR did not activate when called for at cruize speed, first check for any broken vacuum lines to the EGR Sol. or between it and the EGR Valve.
