Default Speed-density ZZ-4

Anyone here put a ZZ-4 in a speed-density car? Did you burn a new chip? Did you maybe put on a AFPR and just bump up the pressure? How did that work? Have you gotten it to pass the tail pipe sniff on the dyno?

A ZZ4 is just a motor. The motor has no idea what type of induction is put on top of it. If you bought a ZZ4 to put into a sd car you just take off the carb manifold that comes with it, as well as the old fashioned distributor. I put a ZZ4 in my '86. If you do put in a ZZ4 get rid of the crappy oil pan that comes with it. That might have saved me from spinning bearings like I did after about 5000 miles.

What did you use as a replacement?

I got my pan from www.champpans.com . I called him up and told him what I needed and he sent me the pan. It holds 9 quarts, has several trap doors to keep the oil in the middle during hard cornering. It was cheaper and better than the Canton pan everybody else buys. Fits the C4 perfectly too.
