Default LT1 Mod Questions

C4 Tech. FAQ and need help with some of the Recommended mods that do work.
1) What's a removable Frisbee ?
2) Where to find info on the Electric Water pump? Can it be used on the street?
3) Beem Plates? (must be suspension related)

Thanx

1. Frisbee is an L98 thing
2. Meziere makes one, and several forum guys are running them on the street
3. I dunno either

Beam plates are essentially oversized washers that provide increased clamping power to hold the C-beam onto the differential and transmission.

Water pump can be run on the street but I would run a light inside the car incase the pump quits you can see the light go off.
C- beam plates are to expensive for what they are.
Not on your LT1 engine for the other ?.

If the pump gets a short or loses power you know right away.
I know the pump only last for some of us about 2 or 3 years.
Yes you can look at your temp gauge a few miles down the road and wait 10 hours for an LT1 to cool down.I want to know before I pull out of the drive way ,to save that walk back to the house.

The frisbee is on 88-91 vettes, not LT1s.

You should get the Meziere, its the best of those out there, it doesnt last as many years as the stock one will but it will cool the engine better. Any overheating problems you have now will probably go away.

If you are looking for hp gains. You might want to check some other options? I'm not sure what mods you have, but exhaust might be a good start? Cat back/headers and such? Maybe ported throttlebody, cam and heads?

I'd get one from Summit, it usually gives back about 10ish hp.

I wouldnt do it for the power gains though, do it if you need the better cooling or need a new WP already.
