My a/c blows really cold but .... the fan does not blow that much air... I guess what I mean is ... when it's really hot outside... the fan does not blow enough air to keep the interior of the car cold... Like I said... the air that does come out is really cold but there is no volume of air coming out .... when I switch through the fan settings... the fan speed does change but it just does not blow that much air on High... Please help....
The fan on my 84 is no tornado either but it does work. It gets higher air movement with each position. They may be all like that. Don't know if a new fan motor would help or not.
Sounds like the high bolw fan is not working.
Check the ground on the fan.
I fixed mine but I don't know what I did to Make it blow on high.
I removed the inner wheel well and removed the fan and cleaned
alot of leaves out of it.
Later I had to fix the light on my tach and had the dash apart.
After that it started to blow harder.
It should have 3 speeds but their is a 4th that is high blow.
I was removing the module in my distributer, when I put it back together the high fan started to blow higher then it did before.
Now it won't shut off even when the key is turned off.
I just unplugged the fan until I have time to check it further.
This is on my 86.
The wiring on these cars from 86 back sucks.
Thanks for the replies guys but I think I know what the problem is... anyone got experience with the doors that control air flow to the vents, heater vents and defrost vents on the dash... Which vaccuum line controls that and has anyone fixed the problem that way ... I get equal air flow through the floor, defrost and vents ... If the doors don't shut then I loose air flow through the vents correct... If I'm wrong someone please tell me ...also if I'm right ... does anyone have any information on that set up.... Thanks...
