Headgasket on LT1
Well got the ole girl out saturday, all is well until I stop and get some gas. Go in and pay for the gas, come out start it up and now it had a miss, go thru town the low coolant light comes on. Go by a freinds house put some water in it and start it, blowing bubble back thru the resevoir. FLIPPIN GREAT!! Get it home and start rippin in to it. Found #7 fire ring blown. Pull both heads (what a PITA) all the others look fine. Now I am playing the "might as well" game" water pump, optispark,headers,etc.etc. If the heater core comes even close to finger banging and scraping as this job forget about it. O'well thought I would rant as I wait for the heads to checked out at the machine shop.
