Very debateable issue here. Time is starting to say Corsas, but you'll get plenty of opinions here. Really boils down to preference on sound. You really need to hear a couple set-ups for yourself to make the right decision. Many here have went through several systems 'till they get that perfect sound for them.
First u decide what sound level u want to go :
I had a borla little louder no resonance at wot
deep aggressive sound not like any fancy flowmasters
they r nice too but too many got it.
Corsa's really really nice, if corsa's r available at the time i bought
my borla's sure i would have got it but time changed
now u can get corsa's all the way 84-96 and beyond for c5's too
I dont know what year ur car is but seems like highly modded
383 stroker with this fast car any cat back will be aggressive and louder too my vote goes to corsa's first and than Borla next
this will give a muscular sound rather than sweet.
It's all personal preference. A lot depends on what sound you're looking for and how much you're willing to pay to get it. If you're looking for a nice quality tone...low resonance at driving speeds and a little growl during acceleration, in my opinion, Corsa is the best. Flowmaster have a nice growl, but the resonance can be a little annoying. If you're looking for something that will wake the neighbors, try B&B or Borla Stingers.
I've tried several different setups on my L98 1989 and have been trying to turn up the volume each time (the L98 seems to have a nice DEEP tone, but it was tough to make it growl). Currently I'm running a front y with no pre-cats, removed the catalytic converter and it all flows through a 3" Borla Stinger cat-back exhaust. Finally, I have the GROWL that I was looking for. Long tube headers will also do a LOT to help with the sound!!
