I've been told by one of the guys at the dyno shop that 4th gear in my car is not a 1:1 gear, but 5th is, instead. When asked why, he told me it was because of my 4.10's. Now, I realize changing rear end gears doesn't effect transmission ratios, but IS my 4th gear a 1:1 gear????

He's going to do the dyno over in 4th, after the work is done...

4th is your 1:1 gear on a stock ZF-6 speed Corvette.

4th gear is 1:1, 5th is an overdrive, .80:1 or so, and 6th is super-duper overdrive, .51:1 or so.

The ratios on the T56 are about the same.

Richmond is a single overdrive with 5th 1.1 The ZF is a double over drive with 4th 1.1
