quick question about intake manifold

Default quick question about intake manifold

i have my intake off right now and i am cleaning everything up...just one question, am i supposed to wait 24 hours untill i bolt everything else on,runners fuel rail, plenum, etc or am i supposed to do it right after i torque evrything down..

thnaks for your help guys

As soon as the base is torqued down , you can put the rest together.

Are yopu replacing intake gaskets? if so you can just bolt everything on but don't run the engine until the RTV sealer sets.

Don't forget to re-torque the intake manifold bolts after the intake has been installed for a few hours. Many times the intake gaskets will take a set and the bolt torque will loosen.

If you don't do this, you may end up chasing vacuum leak gremlins down the road. I re-torque mine several times until all the bolts hold the torque setting.

I use 35 ft/lbs.
