Cams
Is anyone running the TPIS ZZ409 cam, I need to know if it will pass emissions, and does the motor have to be tilted to install a cam in a 1993???
Thanks Fred

Don't have to tilt engine; have to remove radiator to get cam in from front.

I had to take a motor mount loose and raise mine to get the cam to clear.

Do you have the specs on the camshaft? From what I can remember it is fairly aggressive, and may be hard to pass emmissions.

That may be tough to get to pass emissions. I've heard of guys doing it, though. Will be interesting to see.

I doubt you'll pass the sniffer with that cam in a good race-tune.
You'll need a program that costs you alot of power to get that one to pass.

With the right tune, you can get that cam to pass emmisions.
I'm hoping to get a 224/230 605/622 112 to pass.

It shouldn't be all that hard to make that cam pass. Street manners, partial throttle is completely different from wide open throttle in the tuning. Unless they make you test the car at WOT it shouldn't be any trouble to run a tune with both good performance and reasonable emissions.
