Accel 300+ and tach filter

OK.. I am installing my 300+ ignition, will I have to remove the tach filter, and if so, where is it??? Thanks in advance..

OK.. Got it installed.. and I do need to remove the filter.. Anyone know about where to look on a 92??

Can't say about the 92, but on the 86 it's back by the firewall, driver's side bolted to the block.

Thanks..

On the '92, it is taped to the wiring harness on the right hand side between the ignition coil and water pump.

Give us some feedback here about the Accel 300+ ignition. I've seen it new for $149 on eBay and have been tempted, but don't really know if it's even worth it. Does the car feel more responsive?

Hard for me to tell yet, but It does idle smoother. Haven't really had a good dry day since I put it on. Seems to rev a little faster. My coil was in kinda bad shape, so the new one might have made all the difference. The small size of the control box does make it easier to mount than an MSD. I'll change the plugs this week and see what happens, but so far so good. ..
