Ed: That is one sign of a bad computer. I had that issue with my '90. You should check the relays and all wiring in the area of the pump module. If you do a search, you may find posts on troubleshooting. In Vette or Corvette Fever within the last 2-3 years there was an article on how to check the relays. If you need a new computer, look on ebay, as well as this forum. I found a good one there at a reasonable price, about $100. Good luck.

First thing to check are two fuses, brake and gauges.
Then there are three relays on the ABS that should be checked. Then there is a high amp wire and finally a ground wire. Problem is usually caused by a bad relay.
I typed up a doc file fwith the anti-lock test procedure. If you want it, email me, jakejr266@sbcglobal.net and I'll send it to you.
were is the anti lock computer, behind the driver seat? i got worried when i looked under the passanger seat and found a big plug not going any were, could that be the anti lock hook up to its computer?
On my 94 when my ABS light comes on I wiggle my connections near the wheels for the ABS sensors. Seems to work almost everytime. Its free and easy. At least try it and the fuses before digging into the system.
try putting it on jack stands at all 4's
then run it up to 30 mph and put the brakes on
see if the pump works then
mine is doing the same thing as yours with the light on
mine goes on after it rolls over 5mph
when i did it on the stands the light didn't go on and the pump worked.
So the back brakes and system works.
but when i drive it the light goes on in a few feet
i checked my front sensors and they had some greae on them
a no no
suposed to use anti seaze and only a little.
the hubs were replaced by the dealer and I found syrofoam ***** stuck to the sensor. I also found some stuck in the grooves.
not sure if that was the problem.
I checked the resistance at the plugs coming from the sensor behind the seat. The two 5 pins ones.
supposed to be between 900 and 1500
mine were 1025 or so at all wheels.
I also checked them after taking the sensors out while bending the wire around in the places the outer covering was cracked to see if the meter changed. This checks for intemitant problems with the wire.
Still trying to find my problem.
At least i heard the pump go on with the jack stand test.
So i know it is not that.
going to put it all back together ands try it again.
i checked the one relay thats off to the side and got power were i was suppose to, now i have the other two relays out, going to do the jump between pin 87 and 30. you know i don;t think i have ever heard my pump come on? but that could still be the relay right?
did the jump from pin 87 to 30 and with a test light and key on, my test light caming on but i didn't hear the pump? well i tried with just soem wire, and this time the pump came on so thats telling the relay is whats wrong i hope?
