Can I disconnect the anti theft module that blows the horn when the doors are unlocked ?? If so where is it on a 1986 vert or can I just pull a fuse to do the same thing. I know I need to replace the switches on the door lock cyc but I am moving next week and don't have the time but want to be able to use the power door locks.
The fuse is located behind the center vertical console (by the radio) I had to do this also. I now have no horn - but on the bright side - I don't get locked in anymore so I need the horn a whole lot less.
I think I'll go to Harborr Freight and pick up an electrical "airhorn". That way when I lay on the horn someone will think I'm an 18 wheeler coming through - this ought to save on middle finger wear and tear also! (can you get Tunnel carpel by repetitive use of the middle finger - hey I see a workmans comp claim in my near future)

Just go get a 15 year old from the local high school and it will be done in a few seconds. It won't beep when locked, unlocked, started without a key or any other situation.
I would love to know what box my service manual is packed in, as I am told once I get out by you in AZ I won't want to pull the doors apart until it cools down. Maybe I should look for that 15 year old kid !!
