MAF sensors
I have located the Mass air flow sensor and burn-off relay near the batttery. Is there anyway to tell which one is which?
The parts on the car have the same part number.
The parts to be put on have one two different numbers, one of which is the same as that on the car.
Is there a difference? Is there anyway to tell the difference?

According to the diagram in my Shop Manual, the outboard relay is the Burn-Off relay and the inboard is the Power relay. There's a diagram on page 6E3-C1-7 of the 86 Shop Manual.
I believe they are the same.

Stand in front of the car facing the windshield:
Inboard: closest to the center of the car (distributor, plenum, etc.)
Outboard: closest to the outside of the car (fender/door/tire, etc.)
