from what i have been seeing here, Bilsteins says they keep working if there no leaks?? but i think all thing ware out some day. mine have 85K on them so i am thinking of changeing mine too. one book i saw said to take them out of the car and pull and push on them a couple of times if theres not resistance in either direction there bad. but dose that mean there as strong as they should be?
i found a place selling all four bilsteins for less then $270 look on google.

At 75K, they start downhill.
You should replace with Bilsteins if you want the same handling, ride quality will only slightly improve though.
