o.k. thanks, i just comparing it to the left one which didn't move at all?
i was thinking about opening up the valve and see if any brake fulid comes out.
These calipers also need the anti rattle clips. May be you lost the ones on the right side.
the clips, mounted on the pads, will also deform over time. when this was an issue for me i just took the clips off, bent them back into shape, and reinstalled them. 2 years since and no problems.
gee i didn't see anything like them, but i didn't look from the bottom i was looking down standing right over the tire with the hood open. that would be a great quick fix! thanks!!

Not seeing them could be a good indication that they are gone or worn.
You almost have to have wheel off to see them depending on what wheels you have.
Yeah, check out SkateParkdaves link. Those are exactly what you need. It sound like the caliper is bouncing around when you go over small bumps. They cost like $3-$4 dollars at Advance or Checkers. One of the cheaper fixes for these cars.

Well actually thats not *MY* link, I stole it from another thread. :o
I just had my rotors and pads replaced. Mine rattled so bad it sounded like it was going to fall apart when I went over railroad tracks. The mechanic told me I was missing the anti rattle spring clips and did I have any. I said no and I couldn't find them in the parts catalog. He had some in a tool box and installed. No more rattle and the brakes work great. What a difference. There is a picture of the anti rattle clips in the June Corvette FEver magazine. The article is about C5 brakes for your C4, but one of the pictures points to and reminds you to properly install the anti rattle spring clips and where they should go. Hope this helps.
A local GM dealer should have the stuff to. I just replaced the pads on mine. If there is a lot of movement, inspect the pin to. The pins on mine were groved and slightly bent. With new pins, and new clips there is no movement at all. I also put a new C-clip on the pin. I used a little bit of grease to help assemble the pin. It took quite a bit to press the caliper down with new clips, allowing the pin to go in. I got the pins, clips, and pads online from the above link so I didn't have to try to get to a store durning the limited hours some of them are open.
