Default Superram and ZF shift points?

OK, I am going to our local track tonight for a few runs.

With a 406CI, ZF 6 speed and 3.45 rear gear,,, am I still looking at 5500-RPM shift points?

On my Miniram I shifted at @ 5800-6000RPM

Larry I have my shift light set at 5400. by the time I shift the car I am at 6k. This is on a 383. No two cars are alike. You have to mess with your and find that sweet spot.

OK, that makes sense, will try to log a run or two, IRP gets very busy, so I am told, so I hope I can get 3 maybe 4 runs in!

OK, 80+ degrees, hot and slippery track, no track prep on Tuesdays, so I was told. I only stayed for @ 1 hour, and should have waited for the air to get cooler

The car now, was no faster in terms of MPH than the Miniram, identical MPH, 114.2, 114.3 , 114.2 MPH with the Super ram and 114.50, 14.18, 114.55 with the Miniram

Superram
60' = 2.159
330 = 5.677
1/8 = 8.529
1/8 MPH = 87.69
1000 = 10.916
1/4 =12.902
MPH= 114.26

Miniram
60' = 2.145
330 = 5.542
1/8 = 8.303
1/8 MPH = 89.77
1000 = 10.643
1/4 =12.581
MPH= 114.50

The Miniram runs were a night in the fall, shift point at 5800 RPM

The Superram runs were today in the heat shift point at 5500RPM

The Miniram runs were at 9-10 degrees base timing, the Superram runs were at 6-7 degrees base timing

I am going to bump my timing some this weekend and see if ity helps it to work a little better

The only mods this winter were the addittion of the Superram, and the addittion of 3.45 rear gears.

Waay too hot and the crowd got thicker well before sunset, so I will make some adjustments this weekeend and do some testing and go back next Tuesday, personally, I think my car works better with more timing but,, we will see.

Larry what is the break down of your set up?

Compression? You would think your MPH would be up there.. specially with a stick.

Hey Rich, most of my info is in my sig, but I have a 10.9 CR.

Ol'RJ has the TPIS solid Roller cam 406CI, stick Miniram and his MPH is the same as mine.

I am going to play with the timing this weekend and then regap the plugs and take a look at my chip. I expect that the car can go low 12's on street tires, I just have to get it dialed in. I know for a fact that I am spiining in 2nd and 3rd, so slicks could be an easy fix for knocking some time off.

The Superram and new 6-speed with new rear gears is bascially making me start over on tweaking and learning how to drive this car, shift points etc. On my first launch at 1500 rpm the car got side ways big time, I most smacked the wall .
