Rear gear change?

Rear gear change?
I have a 94 six speed with stock size wheels and tires. If I change the ring and pinion to a 4:11 will I still be able to cruise on the highway at 80 or will the gearing take the rpm's up too high for extended highway driving?
No other real mods to the car, just a K&N and I'm going to open up the filter cover. Maybe do headers and full exhaust just for grins. 104K on the clock and I don't want to open up the engine yet. Still runs great but I would like a little more off the line.

My 94 M6 has 4.10 gears, and at 80 mph I'm turning a little over 2000 rpms.
