please help....power seat woes
my 88 with the eight-way power seats has a problem. the passenger seat wont go back. it makes noise like it wants to work but doesnt move at all. is there anything i can do to get the seat to move back?? i dont care if it ever moves again, i just need it back!! any help would be greatly appriciated. james.

The nut that hold the heli gear feel off. take the seat out and you'll know what I am talking about. The rear two nuts that hold the seat might be hard to get at since the seat is not moving forward or back but doable.

When working on my seats, I found it easier to take the seat off the adjuster rails when trying to work on them. If you remove the seat cushion, you'll find that there are 4 bolts holding the seat frame to the rail. Once you remove the seat, the rails (still attached to the floorboard) are easy to get to and work on.
