Happens when I do a cold start. I turn the key to on, fuel pump comes on, let it run til it stops, then crank it. Used to fire right up. Now it cranks for a bit maybe catches a bit but doesn't start even if I give it a pump or two of gas. Stop the cranking, the fuel pump will still run for a bit, then stop. Crank again and it fires and runs fine.
Definitely seems like more of a fuel problem than a spark problem.
After the car is warmed up, fires right up no problem.
Mine does the same thing. I still need to fix it actually. I don't know if the answer is the same for both the L98 and LT1, but here it is. It is most likely either a leaking injector or a faulty check valve on your fuel pump. There is a LOT of information on this around the forum. You'll probably need a fuel pressure gauge to find it. Good luck.

When you turn the ignition on, the fuel pump comes on for 2 seconds and shuts off and if the oil pressure comes up to about 4 psi, the oil pressure switch turns on the fuel pump. If you have leaking injector/s, when you turn on the ignition and then back off, the pressure should hold up. If it drops rapidly, you may have leaky injector/s or a defective check valve on the fuel pump. You can measure the fuel pressure at the shrader valve on the end of the fuel rail.
