What are you guys using and do the make a ton of noise? I see that Energy makes a graphite version.. Feed back please.

Absolutely no noise from my graphite Energy Suspension bushings. Just make sure you use plenty of the grease and lightly sand the glaze off on all the bushings where they make contact with other surfaces.

My Energy Suspension bushings have been totally silent. I did not sand mine, however, I lubed the $hit out of them IAW the instructions.

What's the advantage of using poly bushings? These are the bushings for the shock absorbers we're talking about, right?

Do they help stop some of the wheel hop our cars can be afflicted with when there are bumps or washboard pavement in a curve that we're taking in a spirited fashion?

Would a set of poly bushings and Z51 shocks help keep the tires planted better?

These are the suspension bushings

No! They remove the slop in suspension caused by worn stock rubber bushings and poly does not deflect as much as the stock rubber.
Would a set of poly bushings and Z51 shocks help keep the tires planted better?
Depends on the condition of your current shocks and suspension components

There are many components in your suspension that may be worn so you must troubleshoot/inspect to find out what is causing your problem.

If your car has wheel hop on bumpy pavement I would check the shocks.

Just did the whole back end and its night and day.. I can grab my back wheels now and they don't budge.

I dropped mine off at a shop to replace all the bushings in my 94 with ES graphite ... I was planning on doing it myself, just dont have the time now (even bought a shop press for it).

Cant wait to get it back, the old bushings had 150k miles on them. Besides the rear wheels nothaving as much play in them have you noticed a difference in handling?

Did graphite bushings, ball joints, outer front tie rod ends, and rear bearings in my '85 1-1/2 yrs ago. Big improvement.
I did have to regrease the front sway bar bushings this year to get rid of a loud creeking noise.
Since then I put on 4 new bilsteins and a Camber Brace.
Very tight and no more wandering on uneven pavement.

For a great price look up energysuspensionparts on the web. They had the best price I could find.

Question though, should I buy some additional lube? What kind and from whom?
There does not appear to be much in those little tubes that come with the kit. I drive my baby everyday through DC and give the suspension an incredible workout. I can't deal with any squeaks.

A question for those of you that used Energy Suspension bushings. I bought a set of their frame bushings for a 30mm front bar and the holes were offset and not centered like the factory 30mm bushings. How can you possibily use these off center frame bushings? I never got an answer when I e-mail the company so I just returned them.

Maybe you got a defective set, I haven't heard of this before with ES. I know people had problems with Prothane fitting right though.

No, they were not defective. They are made like that on purpose. The instructions showed which way they should be mounted. I believe this offset is not necessary with the factory bushings because they are rubber and have more flex in them.

No, The kit comes with lube. Make sure you get the blk bushings they are inpregnated with Graphite..

i bought my kit directly from energy suspension on ebay for about 150 before shipping. i didn't get any extra lube and was able to do the job with what was in the kit which wasn't all that much so it couldn't hurt to have extra. with how tight the tolerances of the bushings are i think the most important part is to get lube over the entire area thinly, if its real heavy you just end up wiping it off the part when the bushing is in and wasting it, and that stuff can get kind of nasty when you get it all over your hands
