it was a pain in the *** the whole way in but i had everything on but the slave cylinder. once i tightened down the slave cylinder i started turning the engine over it would barely crank and was making a scrape/grinding noise. owrked fine before i installed the slave cylinder. but it didn't have a clutch pedal. WTF!!!!!!!!! i seriously am going to push this thing off a cliff. how hard is it to pull the tranny in a manual so i can look up in to see what the hell went wrong. if its not one damn thing its another.

I feel you're pain! I just put a new motor in my 89, and yes it was a PITA!
I had my car on ramps and bought a trans jack from Harbor Freight for about $49.00. It goes up enough to use when the car is on ramps.
Trans jack, floor jack and you are in business. Support beam is the worse.
