Default LPE intake manifold

what is the difference between stock intake manifolds and his "modified" intakes? are they just a little ported and polished?

If we're talking about his L98 manifold, its got bigger ports, bigger than what you could port out of the stock manifold.

LT1, he just ports them.

vader86, Actually you can take a stock l98 intake and port it just as good as Lingenfelters over priced manifold. That goes for TPIS product too. Granted, it takes alot of time and patience, but I'll put my stock one up against any of the aftermarket ones. I'm not talking about just opening up the opening and exit to their gasket size, but throughout the intire runner length.

i dont see why this would be so hard on an LTx intake either unless you really have no idea what you are doing and have had no experience whatsoever

Judging from the set of flow results I have for all of them, I find that hard to believe. Even the professionally-ported stock intake manifold was behind the LPE and BigMouth, not terribly far, but still behind.
