My coworker has a '92 LT1 with 40K on the odometer. This car started having problems with the braking system 2 wks ago. On startup it doesn't do the system selfcheck. When this happens the ABS and ASR lights come on. The problem so far is intermittent, if the ABS self check happens then the ABS ASR lights don't come on. He also mentioned that the car has not had the braking system bled ever and he's got the factory brakes/rotor/calipers on. The ABS ASR and master cyclinder are all original as well.
He also stated that his think that there's some caliper drag happening that preceeded the self check problem and in ongoing.
my 87 did that a while back, deffinatly change the fluid, that should have been done ages ago, it absorbs water and swells the seals. Look at all the related ABS relays too.
Thank you Gentlemen for you help. I passed this thread along to my buddy. He's going to change the fluid and chk the codes. I've given my recommendations on what he should do and we'll see what happens.
Frank, just got a few minutes last night, so I tried..
Module/Segment 9.1 showing error code as "H83" Low brake fluid.
Sure enough, look under and found the leek.
Thanks,
Su

Thanks again! Su's pretty cool, he's got a very low miles 14K or so '92 LT1 which has never scene rain and has only been washed 10 or so times. It's a real garage queen and has a remenant smell of new car. He sprung his first leak, the brake fluid reservoir is his problem.
Thanks again to all those that chimed in with opinions/advice.
